Remote Support
Remote support allows us to resolve the majority of problems online. We are able to view and take full control of your computer in order to resolve issues from Viruses, Spyware or provide a complete Computer Health Check. we aim to troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve your issues in the fastest and most efficient way possible.
By using CrossLoop, a safe secure remote support software, (sessions are secured with 128 bit encryption) CrossLoop Pro allows us to easily access our customer’s computers with just 1 click - no access codes required.
Every online remote session is fully encrypted and secure, so none of your information can be seen by anyone else other than C&R IT Services and yourself.
For the connection to take place please telephone me on 01493 728611 then we will be able to instruct you to make the connection.
You can give or turn off this access with a few simple steps and you can grant us access from 1hour to 1year.
Remote Support Requirements
Your computer must be working and connected to the Internet via a broadband connection.
We will need your contact details such as :-
Name, Address, Post Code, Telephone Number and a valid E-Mail address for billing purposes.
Unfortunately, a dial-up connection is not suitable for this type of support, due to speed limitations.
Once the Remote Session has been completed we will Email you an Invoice and payment can be made by cheque or by Paypal using Bank or Creditcard
Computer Health Check and Optimization
If your computer is running slow, this may be caused by viruses, spyware and many other factors. Our Computer Health Check and Optimization Service we:-
• Check your Antivirus and Antispyware software is up to date
• Optimize Windows
• Ensure all critical Microsoft updates have been applied or any optional updates as required
• Perform a disk clean to safely remove temporary files which are not required
• Remove applications that are no longer needed
• Remove non-essential start-up software (to speed up loading)
• Install or update you Malware tools and perform a scan for Malware
• Install and run a program to clean and defragment the system registry
If you have no Antivirus and/or Antispyware software installed, we can provide industry leading Antivirus and Antispyware software and install at the same time.
If during our Remote Support session we find that the problem cannot be fixed remotely we will discuss this with you and let you know the options available to you.
If you are an existing customer of C&R IT Services or live within a 25 mile radius of our office at Caister on Sea we can arrange to collect your PC for repair.
Charges
For Remote Support a £30.00 per hour or part therof charge will apply.
For any other repair this is charged at a job rate, for example a Computer Health Check as described above is charged at £52.00, this includes collection and return plus tuition on any additional software we have installed to help you keep your computer free from Malware.
If your computer requires any Hardware parts this is an additional charge and shown separately.
